Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Delaware, chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Democratic
Vice presidential hopeful and Barack Obama’s running mate.Reported an earned income
of $298,200.
Biden told the FEC that his assets
were only between $62,000 and $405,000,
with liabilities of between $140,000 and $365,000.
Biden also collected $112,500, the second half of his advance, for delivering the manuscript
of his book, “Promises to Keep,” to publisher Random House in July 2007. He also earned
$20,500 in teaching stipends from Widener University. Biden appeared on “Real Time
with Bill Maher” and “The Late Show with David Letterman” last year, collecting $1,025
appearance fees for each that went to charity.
Biden’s Senate salary $165,000.
Yes, it would appear that Joe’s net worth is somewhere between upper
blue collar to lower white collar. I’m guessing that he was not selected DNC VP hopeful
to help turn the economy around.
